Wearable trackers have come a long way in the last few years with a handful of top consumer brands.

Vaxa does not see the opportunities for these trackers as a complete consumer-branded play but landscape being much broader, given the current and emerging capabilities of the technology.

We applied our expertise in pharmaceuticals drug research to help this startup to differentiate itself from its competitors.

Like other early stage startups in the wearables space, TrackInc. growth strategy centered on the consumer segment and was gaining traction. However, there were several issues with their approach ranging from limited product capabilities, brand recognition, and having a more balanced and diverse revenue mix to manage future sales performance.

The health and wellness features lend themselves to real health applications but TrackInc have not explored this space to uncover the alternative growth options it offered. Vaxa was asked to create a detailed brief on the healthcare options, their current and future attractiveness, go to market including alliances, sales forecasts, and assist TrackInc. to create the capacity to pursue this segment.

Vaxa applied it expertise across the healthcare and medical research value chains to show three major medical research opportunity pools. We dissect each to show their evolution and usage of technology, trends toward technology adoption, barriers to acceptance, the value proposition of technology, and what it is needed to become a technology provider.

We worked a cross functional team from TrackInc. to present, discuss, and debate the merits of segments opportunities, their strategic alignment to today's capabilities, and to prioritize which one to pursue in the short term.

The team settled on pharmaceutical clinical trials as the most relevant and attractive space to further investigated.

Our research and analysis showed:

Data collection is one of the major reasons why clinical trials fail.
The global distribution of clinical trials and the most attractive markets.
The top diseases in terms of volume and relevance to clinical trials.

Vaxa assisted TrackInc. to design and implement its go to market strategy to pursue specific clinical trials in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific with the following elements:

Product development priorities to be more attractive to the clinical trials segment.
Portfolio of alliances partners who contributes technical expertise to its solution and business development to influence product sales.
Research and academic partnerships that will prove out the efficacy of TrackInc. technology.
Embedding the current activity tracker products into specific clinical trials in the US, Germany, Italy, and China.
Identification of several hundred future clinical trials that TrackInc. can initiate business development activities.
