Dynamic Segmentation
Segmentation is one of the most and inadequately used strategic and tactical tools to grow a business today—particularly with B2B companies. Ask ten people in a company to segment one or more of their major businesses and it is likely you'll get as many different answers but a common theme will be by sales, employee count, geography, and other basic and obvious demographic-based data.
Not only does this create almost no value but it stands to consistently point the business in the wrong direction, continue on a me-too path— and worst, reduce the value to customers and other stakeholders.
