About · Who We Serve
A small number of clients.
A clear sense of fit.
We work with organizations where the answer isn't obvious yet — and where finding it requires genuine patience. The first conversation tells both of us whether the fit is there.
The Organizations We Work With
Five types. One thing in common.
Industry, size, and stage matter less than the quality of the question. The clients who get the most from Vaxa arrive with vexxing questions and genuine curiosity about the answer.
01
Established companies whose current strategy has run its course
Organizations that have executed their existing strategy well — and are now facing a market that has moved, a model that no longer compounds, or a competitive landscape that has changed around them. The problem is real but the direction isn't clear yet. The work is finding the next platform before the current one forces the issue.
The challenge is rarely that the strategy failed. It is that the strategy worked — and now the market has moved past it.
02
Companies entering a market their model was never built to serve
New market entry is not a scaling problem — it is a design problem. Organizations expanding into the US, Europe, or adjacent markets for the first time need a structure built for the new market, not adapted from the old one. The architecture matters as much as the ambition.
Most failed market entries are not failures of execution. They are failures of design — the wrong model applied to a market that required a different one.
03
Organizations with channel or partner programs that aren't performing
Most channel problems are strategy problems in disguise. If the obvious fixes haven't worked, the answer is upstream of where the organization has been looking. The architecture is the problem — not the execution. Fixing execution on a broken architecture produces marginal improvement at best.
We rarely find that the channel team is the problem. We usually find that the channel was designed around the wrong assumptions about how customers actually buy.
04
Founders building the strategic foundation before they scale
Early-stage companies that need clarity of thesis, go-to-market architecture, and access to the right investors before committing capital to execution. The thinking before the doing — and the network to make the doing possible. Founders who scale before the foundation is right spend the next three years rebuilding it.
The question we ask founders is not how they plan to scale. It is whether the thing they are scaling is the right thing — and whether the market they are entering is the right market to enter first.
05
Investors making capital decisions in unfamiliar territory
Corporate venture teams, venture capital firms, and private equity investors all face the same problem when deploying capital: the decision is only as good as the intelligence behind it, and that intelligence needs to be independent of whoever is advocating for the deal. Vaxa provides the strategic assessment, ecosystem intelligence, and post-investment value that make that independence real.
The most valuable thing Vaxa brings to an investment engagement is an honest view of whether the opportunity is what its internal advocates believe it to be. That is a different question from whether the target is interesting.

What the Work Requires
The engagements that produce the best results share a few characteristics.
What makes an engagement work
Leadership that is willing to engage directly — not just receive a deliverable at the end of a process
Genuine curiosity about the answer — not validation of a direction already decided
Willingness to sit with uncertainty long enough for a real answer to emerge
Openness to findings that challenge what the organization already believes
A hard question — half-formed is fine, that is usually the more honest starting point
Where our value add is less than what it should be
Decisions are preordained. We can help valid your thinking based on an external market read coming at it from different angles.
The questions are already formed. Our experience is that inside-out issues rarely paint the real picture. We can challenge them.
Answers are well formed. We can pressure test what you're seeing against real world data and insights.
Implementation is on the way but you need external support. We become embedded providing more market insights.
At Vaxa, patience, genuine curiosity, and a refusal to settle for the obvious answer come together to find what others miss. We work with organizations that don't want to wait for the future to arrive — they want to see it first.
If that's you, the first conversation will tell us both.
