IQR is a top 50 Global Fortune 500 technology company. One reason for Its leading market position is its respected R&D function and its 20,000+ patents. IQR does basic research into an array of areas that benefit businesses and consumers.

The Corporate Strategy team at IQR had the task to continually evaluate the portfolio of emerging technologies coming out of R&D to surface the most promising ones so that future research investments can be maximized.

A portfolio of technologies were selected for analysis with a broad range of complexities, capabilities, and potential impact, for example:

  • Improving how public assets are priced - e.g., wireless spectrum.
  • Optimizating of how auctions are designed and implemented.
  • Maximizing the expenditures of marketing campaigns.
  • Assisting corporations to more accurately forecast future revenues.

Vaxa was asked to conduct the analysis on the selected assets, determine their market viability, and set up a repeatable process for conducting future assessments.

Vaxa applied its Asset Commercialization methodology, Net Effect™, and conducted primary and secondary research to assess the attractiveness of the portfoliio of assets. This included developing detailed qualitative and quantitative models.
